A romance story having been a loved home for 60 years

We were contacted by the owners to attend and provide a formal valuation as they were looking to sell, along with a number of agents as they weren’t living locally and didn’t have any recommendations to work with. Upon meeting the family, honestly they were lovely genuine people looking to do the best for their grandmother who had lived there since it was built in 1960. Since it was built!!!! There are so few stories left like this today. Vera was now 93 and had moved to assisted living to make life a little easier. 


Vera’s next door neighbour which was a slightly larger house, similar condition on a receptacle plot had sold within the last 12 months which allowed us to gauge a potential value. Allowing us to have the frank conversation with the clients about price and strategy.


We used our specialist drone videographer & photographer to capture this wonderful home. Our marketing was created to demonstrate the size and scope of the plot, we wanted seduce buyers who could see the potential. It is a very pretty house, exceptional frontage and great rear garden.


Do not under estimate the difference creative marketing  & how to present a space have on the marketing of your home


Once we had the buyers there, it was important for us to show them the space but also;

  • speak through potential visions for the property and offer creative options.
  • Highlight to buyer neighbouring examples of improvements (as there was no approved plans)
  • Show evidence of comparable properties in terms of price and potential value to give buyers confidence and justification.


We secured a wonderful family for this home, who lived locally. They loved the look and fell for the house, and could see the potential. I am really excited to see how the house changes over the coming years.
