Living in Chalfont St Peter
The village we call home. Often described as the Gateway to the Chiltern Hills, Chalfont St. Peter forms a part of what is known as The Chalfonts, a group of 3 neighbouring villages including Chalfont St. Giles and Little Chalfont. This quaint and charming village in South East Buckinghamshire with a population of around 12,000, has a vibrant community feel and offers local independent shops, sport facilities, excellent schools and a country lifestyle. Gerrards Cross train station is 1.2 miles south providing commuter links into London Marylebone, High Wycombe and Birmingham. It also has excellent bus services.
Our family favourites
The White Hart, since Covid, we have been regulars on the Zoom Quiz. The Owners Lesley & Tom are fantastic, fingers crossed we will be down at the Thursday night quiz in the White Hart (without the kids) once they can open again.
The Jolly Farmer, we often meet up with family in The Jolly Farmer on Sunday’s for a glass of wine.
Meat at Judds (the local butcher), Rob is great and will always look after you.
Annual Events
Feast Day; a summer celebration (the entire village attends) on the common with music, entertainment and community businesses
Christmas Fair; the High Street is closed with lots of activities and rides for the children, food and meeting the locals.
