Living in Amersham

This historic market town in the Chiltern hills brings together a mix of old and new with its two parts – Old Amersham with houses dating back as far as 1450, and the more modern Amersham-on-the-Hill. Situated at the very end of the Metropolitan line, it provides easy access to London for commuters but also has plenty of countryside charm thanks to its position nestled within the Chiltern Hills. There are several primary schools within Amersham, as well as two secondary schools, one of which is a boys’ grammar school. It is also within catchment for the girls’ DCHS grammar school in Little Chalfont.  Amersham offers a choice of characterful shops, cafes and pubs and if you love micro piggies as much as we do, you’ll love seeing what the cuties living at Kew Little Pigs are getting up to!
